Sub zero temperatures and snow failed to stop our intrepid volunteers from helping out this week.
The team carried out the first pruning of the apple trees in the Community Orchard and other valuable tasks.
An important member of our team, The Storm Kettle, boiled up litres of water and kept the volunteers in hot liquid refreshments.
A Heartwood volunteer’s day is only then complete after a well earned visit to one of the three local Sandridge pubs.
