Despite the cold and windy weather on Sunday lots of people turned out to support our tree planting event at Heartwood and to try to set a new Guinness World Record™ for the largest welly wanging competition.
Our goal was to attract a minimum of 250 people to take part in the competition over the course of the day and we managed to beat this with 282 people wanging a welly! The photos tell the story:
Some didn’t always go in the right direction!
Even Clive Anderson joined us and had a go.
And of course planted some trees!
We are now 5,000 trees closer to reaching our target of 120,000 trees this winter. Don’t miss out on our last community planting event this season on 19th March, poster to be found on our events page.
