Our volunteers carry out a huge range of tasks not least tree planting! We have guided walk leaders, speakers, environmental monitors, woodland wardens, work party leaders, photographers; the list goes on and on.
Last weekend we organised a day out for everyone at another Woodland Trust wood – Tring Park. This is a gorgeous 107 acre mosaic of mixed woodland and superb chalk grassland. We enjoyed a walk round the site gazing at the spectacular views and cooling off in the woodlands.
When lunch time rolled round we headed to the Natural History Museum at Tring for a special lunch. We hope this goes some way to showing our appreciation for the huge amount of time, expertise, commitment and enthusiasm that all the volunteers bring to the project.
